They're coming for me.

This is what my mind looks like when I'm overwhelmed.
We all have our own demons to fight.

snow tracks

I'm feeling so nostalgic over the snow. I miss Michigan and all of the wonders it encompassed. I'm so glad I moved... but I miss the snow. I miss cloudy lounge days that seemed to happen every other day.

I also miss the tracks that you leave in the snow. It is a simple reminder that time is most a memory. Tracks in snow, sand, or mud; the dust outline of a lamp that hasn't moved in years; even hardened toothpaste on a mirror - those are all just moments imply what was, what will never be again. Yes, I will walk more, and move furniture, and will certainly brush my teeth - but that moment on that day will never again happen.

Alfred Eisenstaedt "The father of photojournalism"

Alfred Eisenstaedt
(1898-1995)
Known mostly for his "VJ DAY" photo, 1945

His motto was "keep it simple".

"Eisenstaedt perfected certain techniques for capturing the spontaneous moment that has given us some of our most enduring photographic images."

His motto to keep things simple, is the reason he was able to capture such rare moments. He didn't fuss, he just kept to the basics.

What I will try to learn from him is to use what is around and not get mixed up in what I do not have.
